The ENTERPRISE Program represents an international forum for collaborative research, development, and deployment ventures comprising the interest of governmental entities and industrial groups. This forum facilitates the sharing of technological and institutional experiences gained from the ITS programs conceived and initiated by each participating entity. The cooperative and collaborative objectives of the ENTERPRISE Program provide for a more efficient use of resources than a series of independent initiatives. The synergistic effect of this forum is an accelerated implementation of ITS programs.
In order to guide the deliberations of the forum participants an agreement is required on the management structure and operating rules. A Management Plan which includes an organizational charter provides a basis for this requirement. ENTERPRISE adopted the Management Plan in 1993. The plan is reviewed yearly and amended as needed.
